About
Welcome to Kismet's Landing, a culinary gem nestled along 351 Riverfront Way in Reedsport, Oregon. With its stunning riverfront views, this restaurant transports you from the quaint charm of small-town dining to an upscale gastronomic experience that rivals the finest establishments in bigger cities like Los Angeles.
Visitors rave about the elegant atmosphere, which complements the artistic dishes on offer. Take it from Lorraine Simons, who aptly described her experience as "absolutely fabulous"—a sentiment echoed by many who have had the chance to dine here. Every detail, from the decor to the plating, underscores the care and creativity infused into each meal.
The menu is a tantalizing tapestry of flavors, featuring delectable dishes like baked brie and a spicy tuna appetizer that Elizabeth Elam fondly recalled. Whether you're indulging in the steak au poivre—cooked to perfection—or savoring freshly caught lingcod adorned with earthy chanterelles and porcini mushrooms, every bite transports you to a realm of culinary delight. Guests praise the seasoning and attention to detail, adding a depth of flavor that keeps them returning.
Mary Madson's harmonious encounter with the salmon—a dish that left her contemplating the transcendent nature of food—illustrates how Kismet's Landing elevates the dining experience to something profoundly enjoyable. Here, eating is not simply a necessity but an experience that lingers long after the meal is over.
While the service is consistently friendly and accommodating, there have been mentions of brief wait times for food, a minor detail overshadowed by the restaurant’s commitment to quality. As Dr. Rog noted, the food is “good and fairly priced,” making Kismet’s Landing an accessible spot for everyone, from locals to travelers passing through.
For those looking to explore, the sushi delights and scrumptious specials like the steak medallions or black cod are not to be overlooked. As Bradley Morris attested, each visit brings something new to appreciate, with the servers keen on sharing their knowledge about the menu’s offerings.
Whether you’re seeking a romantic date night or simply a spot to indulge in exquisite dining, Kismet's Landing promises an experience that combines exceptional food, welcoming service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to discover this hidden treasure along the Oregon Coast—your taste buds will thank you!
“ Trendy spot off the path. Upscale food and drink menu. Service was helpful and friendly. The food was good and fair priced. The only feedback is it took a little longer to get our food, but not too long. ”
“ When we were at the coast last week, Cecil and I had an absolutely fabulous meal at this restaurant. It was wonderful and equal to any high end restaurant I have eaten at in Los Angeles. A hidden gem! ”
“ We found the perfect spot off the beaten path to enjoy some lunch while we were passing through town. The service was amazing, everyone was really friendly, and the food was outstanding. I had a salmon dish and my Husband had the poke. I think my soul transcended the human experience for just a moment when I had my first bite of salmon. I’m not kidding when I say I think I just had one of the best meals of my life, and that was not on my bingo card when I woke up this morning. So glad we chose to stop here! Whether you are a local who is looking to try something tasty, or are just stopping through town, do not miss out on this restaurant! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!!! ”
“ A lovely Sunday drive along the Umpqua River to Reedsport, Oregon. Searching for sushi at Kismet's Landing. Heard they had halibut fresh off the boat and Sushi Chef, Jason, had a new roll (menu name: Hallie Berry). Halibut soaked in a blueberry concoction just long enough to render a blue edge on the halibut. The roll was served with artistic flair and absolutely wonderful. Dinner completed with the fabulous Creme Brulee with wild huckleberries. ”
“ I’ve been here 3 times so far, each time it was just as good as last time. The food is great, the waitstaff is attentive and the atmosphere really pulls it together. I love the shrimp scampi! The pictures below are the shrimp scampi, kismets tips entree, the chicken piccata, the crispy rice hamachi (i believe) and calamari! I would recommend all of them. ”
“ Second time here. First time it was new , so I was kinda overwhelmed by everything going on and the place was so incredibly busy it was hard for me to realize that the food was amazing. It took me forever to appreciate how good the food was. I personally never look at the menu. My date and I like to question the server about the menu and order that way. Both times the food was phenomenal. This time our server (Ali) made the experience even better, Mia the owner came over to chat for a bit. Truly the whole experience was top notch. A lot of thought has been put into the design of these dishes, sushi is to die for , steak medallion special so good. Black Cod and the Salmon… you can’t go wrong with either. We enjoyed it and encourage everyone to get the Bananas Foster both versions are excellent. Thanks again for everything. ”
“ Went for date night and it was the perfect choice. The interior is really beautiful. We had the baked brie and a fantastic avocado and spicy tuna app. They were both delicious! Hubby had the steak au poivre and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was to die for. I had the freshly caught lingcod with chanterelles and porcini mushrooms. It was so good! Light and flavorful. Everything we had was seasoned beautifully. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great experience and we can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend! ”
